Four obligations translate directly into technical work: knowing who accesses which personal information, setting a retention period and being able to delete for real, detecting and recording incidents, and documenting where the data is hosted. The rest — a designated officer, policies, consent — is governance, not infrastructure.
AI agent or plain automation: how do we choose?
The question to settle is not how hard the task is, but how predictable its input is. If the data arrives in a stable format and the rules can be written down, plain automation will be more reliable, cheaper and verifiable. An agent earns its place only against free-form language or unstructured documents — and you then have to count the cost of human review.
